Day 1
The Vézère Valley, classified "The Man Valley"
in 1979 by Unesco.
Complete visit to the National Museum of Prehistory
in Les Eysies de Tayac.
Visit to one prehistoric cave in Vézère Valley.
Lunch in La Roque Gageac, in one restaurant overlooking
the Dordogne River, in one of the "most beautiful village
of France" where you can see the trogloditics houses
in the superior part of the village.
Afternoon historic boattrip with a "gabarre" on the Dordogne.
Dinner and accomodation in charming hôtel dominating
the Dordogne.
Day 2
Departure in direction to Saint Emilion, classified in Unesco
world heritage in december 1999. The Saint Emilion Juridiction
is a "jewel" medieval city surrounded by vineyards famous
as from the Roman Epoca.
Visit to the medieval city and main monuments.
Lunch in a Relais et Châteaux Hostellerie de Plaisance
(Michelin 1* restaurant Philippe Etchebest chief)
Afternoon visit to one great estate classified in Saint Emilion
appellation and tasting.
Accomodation and dinner in Bordeaux.
Day 3
Early departure to the Basque Country. Discover the
Saint James road (Saint Jacques de Compostelle)
overall the 22 kilometers classified in Unesco World
Heritage in 1998 . The 22 kilometers in the heart of
Basque country are linking the Aroue Ithorrots Olhaiby
small village to Ostabat village , cross of the 3 Roads
(Paris, Vézelay and Le Puy).
Lunch in one Logis de France in HOPITAL SAINT BLAISE
facing the splendid 12th century Roman church, last vestige
of an ancient hospital settlement.
Afternoon visit to the Olhaiby's chapel, Harambels's chapel,
and arrival to Saint Jean Pied de Port : citadel, ramparts,
gothic church, House of Mansart, ancient gothic town
with Saint James's Door classified in Unesco patrimoine.
We are at the foot of Ibaneta Roncevaux pass, and Valcarlos
Monastery.
Dinner and accomodation in Saint Jean Pied de Port.
